Do you celebrate Easter in your country and if yes, how?

Yes, we celebrate Easter in France because Christianism is the most important religion here. Moreove, my region, Alsace, has one specificity about Easter compared to other French region. We have one more day off: the Holy Friday. You probably wonder why ;) The reason is very simple, it's because Alsace was several times German in its history and we have kept some German laws and traditions. To celebrate Easter, we often have a special lunch with our family. We offer chocolate and a small gift to children (in that way, Easter is almost a "small Christmas" here) and if the weather is fine, there's an Easter Egg Hunt in the afternoon.

Yes, we celebrate Easter in France because Christianity is the most important religion here. Moreover, my region, Alsace, has one (significant/important) difference when comparing Easter here with (you can sometimes say 'compared to' but you can always say 'compared with') other French regions; we have one more day off: the Holy Friday. You are probably wondering why ;) but the reason is very simple it's because Alsace was German several times in its history and we have kept some German laws and traditions. To celebrate Easter, we often have a special lunch with our family. We give chocolate and a small gift to children (in that way, Easter is almost like Christmas here) and if the weather is fine, there's an Easter Egg Hunt in the afternoon.

If this Friday is the one before Easter Sunday, we call it 'Good Friday' over here.  It is supposedly the day of the crucifixtion.
