No, the legal sistems definiltly not always the legal system gives justice correctly and if you ask me about the justice in my country I must say that the accused certainly must run away out of the country because they are afraid from our system, our system is depending of the governmet and the people which is made our legal system belong to the PSUV which is the political party of the President Chavez.

I didn't understand some of it; I hope I've got it right. :)

No, the legal system definitely doesn't always give justice correctly and if you asked me about the justice in my country I would say that the accused would want to run away from the country because they are afraid of our system. Our legal system depends on the government and the people, because it belongs to the PSUV, which is the political party currently in power, led by President Chavez.

Well done, this is a complex subject.  I hope I have understood you correctly.

ThanksTerina and Caroline about your comment, they are always really help me to get better my english...

I was talking in this exercise about a real situation in Venezuela, it´s happening, it wasn´t  in a figurative sens that I was talking, actually the Mayor (alcalde) of Maracaybo was accused of to take money from the people and he and his family had to run away because the mayor knew that the sentence was designed already...that ment to go many many years to the jail or to be murdered! now he is in Perú asking for political refuge, there are several potilical personalities with the problem everyone of they of the oposition party!!!  Everything about tthe justice here in Venezuelaa is just a theatrical thing, we haven´t justice, our legal system dosen´t work.

kisses and hugs to both of you.

Jaqui, so sorry I couldn't get to your post immediately. I would say that both Terrina and Caroline did a great job with corrections.

It seems to me that the Chavez government would seem to have an opportunity to do great things for the poeple of Venezuela, but possibly having total power is corrupting the system into a...dictatorship? In many countries the Justice system can be bought by the rich or powerful (here in the US we pretend that that is not true). However, hopefully justice will catch upwith the guilty eventually, and the innocent people will be given their justice with time.

Good job with your English, you're talking about a complicated subject!
