I'm glad to hear that. In fact, I think it's fantastic that you think that way, because I've never been in a English-speaking country. Nevertheless, the truth is that I've calculated that I've seen around seven or eight thousand hours of films and tv series (obviously british and american ones). As you may know, in Spain they broadcast the films and series in spanish, so I download every film or tv serie that I would like to watch. That way I enjoy watching films (I'm a great fan of movies) and, at the same time, I'm learning English. It's so interesting to realize how you can learn expresions and vocabulary as well as you are improving your listening abilities without nearly noticing it. And I watch a lot of different kind of series or movies, Torchwood, Little Britain, Life from Mars, Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, The IT Crow, Dexter, 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, Entourage, House M.D., etc... so I can hear actual English and a lot of different accents. I don't always understand all I'm listening, but I can finally get to learn new words and expresions due to the context and constant repetitions. As Kramer would say: Ohh, you better believe it! :D And last but not least: thank you very much for your remarks. |

I agree with Elwyn, this was very well written. I also agree with his corrections. |

Do you go to the hairdresser often? What do you normally get done?
