Where am I?

Look at the map. Imagine you're at home and you want to go to the post office. Which way should you go?

Leaving my house I turn left and go straight ahead until I reach a little square. There I turn right and cross the square, then turn left and and at the next corner the zug zag goes on, I have to turn to the right and to the left again, and once more to the left. Quite exhausting! How much easier it would have been to continue straight ahead for four blocks. Yeah, but some people want it difficult..

Hello, Caroline Jane! How was it in Australia? I am glad you are back again and relentlessly help me  with your corrections. I mean it!

Nevertheless, concerning the exercise above I'd like to object that I tried to use my own style differing from a well behaved school composition style. I am aware, though, that this is a mortal sin for a foreigner.

Still I strongly hope that you will go on correcting further exercises of mine. I know that I am not perfect at all!
