The financial crisis

The financial crisis didn't affect me personally but in my country it brought us lots of problems. The number of unemployed have increased. It's still high. For a while people must work fewer hours or must temporarily accept a decrease in wages (or less money). At present lots of people in my country don't have much money for saving. Also the nation must help our banks and give them money. Through the financial crisis a lot of money has gone missing.

The number of people who are unemployed (or just 'unemployment) has steadily increased (been ascended... you would say this about someone walking up stairs, or becoming a king/queen... and u would say, they ascended the flight of stairs/ the throne). It's still high. For a while people must worked shorter hours or must temporary accept a decrease in their wages. At present lots of(or many) people in my country don't have much money for saving. Also the nation must help our banks and gave them money. As a result of the financial crisis much money has gone missing.
