I prefer as a pet a dog,because they are friendly and and they can keep the house,you can give them ant kind of food,and they are happy only if you stroke it a litle and you take a dog for a walk sometines.

Nearly perfect, you should have said

I prefer a dog as a pet,because they are friendly and and they can look after/protect the house,you can give them any kind of food,and they are happy if you only stroke it a litle and you take it for a walk sometines.
