No soy vegetariano, pero me gustan las verduras y las frutas. Mi padre era carnicero y cuando yo era joven no creía que, una comida estuviera completa sino tenía carne. Ahora, yo pienso diferente Soy: Ser and Estar are two Spanish verbs which both mean to be. But those are used in different context. Take for example: The dog is brown The dog is sick. The first example indicates a basic characteristics of the dog, its color. The second one, however, indicates its condition. In Spanish, these different meanings each have their own verb: El perro es marrón El perro está enfermo In the first example, I used the verb Ser, because I am describing a basic condition of the dog which is fairly permanent (its color). In the second one, I used Estar, because I am describing its condition, which is probably temporary.
Yo (Mi padre era carnicero y cuando era joven) Here it's not clear who was young... if it was you or your father. I thought it was you, that's why I put Yo. Pienso: (Ahora, yo creo) In this case "creo" could be used as believe. It's better to say: Yo pienso, which means I think. Hope it can help you! :)

Muchas gracias por tu explicación completa. Para mí, los verbos, ser y estar, son (no están, porque no creo que esta condición es temporario) muy confusos. |
