The predominant religion in Dominican Republic is the Catholicism, follow very close by the Christianism. I was risen into a Catholic family; when I was younger I used to go to church everyday of the week. I still remember once, when my father and I went in a pilgrimage to visit a church which was at about 50 kilometers away from home and we went on foot. Now, being an adult, I don't visit churches anymore. I believe in God, but I don't think that I have to go to any place in order to be in peace with him. I prefer to talk to him directly and in private. I don't even like to pray, I just like to talk to him and when I do it, I really believe that he listens to me.

Good day.   I changed this up a little bit.  Two large groups make up Christianity: the Catholics and the Protestants.

The predominat religious demonination in the Domican Republic is Catholicism follwed very closely by Protestantism. I was raised in a Catholic family.  When I was younger I used to go to church (mass) everyday of the week.  I still remember once, when my father and I went on a pilgrimage to visit a church which was at about 50 kilometers away from home and we went on foot.  Now, being an adult, I don't visit churches anymore. I believe in God, but I don't think that I have to go to any place in order to be at peace with him. I prefer to talk to him directly and in private. Catholicism is part of the Christian faith.

Well done.

(Catholicism is part of the Christian faith).: Don't know why, but in the Dominican Republic, people tend to think as follow:

Catholic=church which follows the mandates of the Pope (Roman church).

Christian: Those who believe in Jesus Christ, but aren't followers of the Roman church. (Protestants).

(at peace) I'll try not forget this one, it's totally new for me.

Thank you!
