I'm from Russia and we have so many traditions on weddings. The groom and the bride are going to the service together, before the groom calles on the bride and gaves to her her bouquet. Before that he may play some kind of games( usually a bridesmaid prepares everything for it) and to take a part in a funny competitions to convince that he desersves his bride :)
The ceremony is usually civil. And at the reception you won't be bored, the guests are always amused.
We have loads of traditions like to bite black bread or to light a candle... and I could tell about them for hours :)
