I have some limited skills for ironing but I'd would like to benefit from other's experiences. It is noth easy to correctly clean the windows, I always get marks on the glass. Children often help to lay the table. I have a pencil and a paper in the kitchen so I can take notes of things I don't have to forget while doing the shopping

I keep a pencil and paper in the kitchen so I can take notes of things I have to remember when I go shopping (things I don't want to forget when doing the shopping).

I take it from the context that you are more skilled at ironing than at cleaning windows etc. (that "but"). Good again ... take a look at my comment, I have made suggestions for smoothing your style.
