My [son] is a young boy, very tall and thin. He [is] sixteen years old and he [has] so [many] friends, and his girlfriend is very nice and pretty.

Bien hecho. Con las edades, se dice "The person is ## years old" en vez de "The person has ## years," como en español. 

My soon is a young boy,very tall and thin,he is sixteen years old and he has so many friends, and his girlfriend is very nice and pretty.
 
tener años estar viejo---> he is a young boy
o he is 16 o he is 16 years old ( pero no he is 16 years, tú no lo has hecho pero otros sí que lo hacen)
