Actually I have just found a new job. The selection process wasn't hard at all since the company is really big (they usually have a more complicated selection process) . First I wrote a cover letter , just 20 lines , after that I had an interview with a manager, she asked me some questions about my current job position. Finally I had another interview with a woman from human resources. The last interview was focused on my soft skills. I received a call the next day confirming that I had been selected for the job vacancy.

I think you need to use "."  more often and "," less often  :-)

The last tense is tricky. The selection took place before the phone call. In narrating the events if the call is described in the past tense then the events described in the phone call have to be expressed even further in the past. =>  I had been selected.

You are right, I didn't realize of the last sentence until now. I have edited my mistakes.

Thank you very much.
