Hello Ingwassil!

You're a nice person. No wonder that many people want to be your friend, including me...:) (Thank you!;))

had* many friends before  my marriage, but I haven't seen them for several years now  because I'm too busy taking care of my family. I spend a lot of time at home. Now my best friend is my husband. He is always by my side, in my happy and bad times.

However*, since my second daughter went to elementary school this year, I have more time, so I plan to meet my friends soon. I missed them so much, actually.

had:  this is a word used when you talk about the past.

I have many friends. (now, today, the present)

had many friends. (years ago, in the past.)

* this is to say that you shouldn't begin a sentene with 'but' as this is a word used to join words and sentences together; a 'conjunction' or 'joining word'.

Tired but happy.  expensive but worth it.  I have a good job which I enjoy, but the money is not good..

I hope you enjoy meeting up with your friends. I think they have probably been doing the same things that you have  - and you will all be so happy to get together again and catch up with what everbody's been doing.

Also, it is a comfort to have your husband as a best friend! Although I think men and women need friends of their own sex to 'let their hair down' with.

June :)

Thank you to correct my english June... :) but (can I use 'but' at this sentence?) I don't understand your last sentence to 'let their hair down' with. Is that an english idiom?

Hello Ingwassil :)

You can use 'but' as long as it does not begin a sentence.

You have used it here to thank me for  my corrections then to ask a question as part of the sentence.

I did wonder if you knew what the expression was..but I do sometimes slip an expression in  it helps people to gradually  be aware of the different saying we have. If you hear them in the future they will be familiar to you. ;)

For instance. 'let your hair down' means just to relax and enjoy yourself.

To not be  formal and  on your best behaviour but let your hair down, relax and enjoy yourself!

June :)

HELLO DEAR JUNE! How are you? Frankly speaking, I have many friends but you are my best friend here in Busuu. It is difficult to find the best one nowadays but I'm lucky that you are. First, you are always ready to help us... and that is very important for everybody here as we all need your help.... I'm very grateful to you and I'll never forget your help... You are the best friend I've ever seen.

Angelica.

Love.
