hello everybody,
I am very happy to be a new member of this group for beginners. My name is Jean-patrick. I am French and I am 56 years old. I live in France, to Reims the city of champagne's wine. My girlfriend is Sandrine, she is 50 years old. I have a daughter and she too. For me, to speak english is a child's dream but I have more difficulties to understand the English language. To read and to write is more easy for me. To speak is difficult but to understand is very, very difficult. I would like to go in Australia in one ou two years and for it, I better have to speak English.

It is very difficult to hear a foreign language clearly. Perhaps you can use the chat facility here. If you see an English person who is on line you can invirt her for a chat. to practise your English.
Be very careful to check the person out first and make sure that they have done some exercices and corrections. Also that they are native English speakers! :-)

I am very happy to be a new member of this group for beginners. My name is Jean-Patrick. I am French and I am fifty six years old.
I live in Rheims, the city of champagne wine.
My girl friend is named Sandrine, she is fifty years old. I have a daughter and Sandrine also has a daughter.
For me, to speak English is a childhood* dream, but the most difficulty is to understand the English language.
It is more easy for me to read and write English. (This is better said this way round.)
To speak English is very difficult, but to understand is very, very difficult.
I would like to go to Australia in the next one or two years and for this, I need to speak better English.
This is very good, Jean-Patrick!
The corrections are mainly writing phrases the other way around or minor grammar errors.
Your grasp of English is so good that you should be able to assimilate the corrections into your general body of knowledge.
* the word 'childhood'; is used to refer to the period of time when anyone is a child.
After this stage, they pass into adolescence and then into adulthood! :)
