Привет! Меня зовут T.C. Мне 23 лет. Я изучаю русский язык для около половины одного года. Так что я не так хорошо! Но я планирую освоить его. Я хотел бы вести разговор на русском и английском языках на пути прогресса.

Спасибо)

i'm finding that the b symbol appears alot not just at the end but in the middle of words...do u actually say "myagkeey znahk" or do u just change the sound of the letter in front? (that might be a stupid question i don't know)

Hi again,

I don't think there are stupid questions :) I guess there are stupid answers only ;)

"ь" symbol  is called the "soft sign" (мягкий знак / myagkeey znahk in Romanization) and has no sound value. It is used to modify the pronunciation of the preceding consonant by making it soft (palatalized). For example, soft [ль] is pronounced the same way as its hard counterpart [л], except for one important additional feature — the consonant is pronounced with the middle of the tongue raised toward the roof of the mouth.

Let's read some words with soft sign, for example: барьер, карьер, рьяный, мьютекс, пьяный. *You can listen to their  pronunciation in Google, for example, by this way: you can  select  the string of underlined text you see below, copy it by pressing "CTRL-C" and  then go and paste it in your Internet browser by pressing "CTRL-V", "Enter" and at last pressing the button "Прослушать/Listen to"

In my opinion, these words sound as if there is a small pause between the two parts of any word in which there is a soft sign.

* I don't know how to paste direct link from Internet browser into this post :(

Привет!
I have no doubt in terms of Declination (or Declension?) Russians in general, especially in the cases and endings of words. Example: мы живем в Бразилии. Because the word Бразилии in this phrase is written with и, if originally, is write with a?

Can you help me? And do you know any online dictionary that translates from Russian to Portuguese and Portuguese into Russian?

Спасибо!

Yes, to say that you live in Brazil is "Мы живём в Бразилии". "живём" is often written as "живем", simply because it's easier to write it this way, but it doesn't change the pronunciation.

"Бразилия" is the nominative form of "Brazil", not "Бразилиа".
