I would love to learn more about Spanish/French and German culture..and of course all of those countries beyond...perhaps we can share recipes, hobbies, holiday information and places to visit, stories about our lives and maybe even a blog or two!

A little about me...I'm a 30 year old chap who grew up in England, although I'm from Ireland and I live in Scotland. Confusing huh? ;-)
I used to work for a mobile telephone company in the north of England but I was made redundant so I have chosen to work in the hospitality industry in Scotland and concentrate on my studies - Spanish, French and German. One day I hope to teach languages but it will be a long road! I would like to maybe work in Europe (or beyond).
I love to travel, although I have only been to countries in Europe so far and I have a passion for hiking - Scotland is a beautiful country to do this in. I also love to read, write poetry and socialise with friends. I am a keen cook and gardener but as I live at my place of work at the moment I don't actually have my own house to do these things - although I am saving to buy somewhere permanent at the moment.
