In Germany Easter is celebrated. Many people go to the church, others use the free days to make a little trip. In the morning on Easter sunday the children look for the candies the Easter bunny has hidden.;-) The families take a long walk after lunch on Easter sunday. So do we. When our children were small we put all the candies which they have found in the morning in our flat in a plastik bag and went out for a walk. In the park we through now and then candies along the way/road, the kids didn't realised it. Then we said: "Look the easter bunny was here too!" The children were so happy to found more and more candies. We could make a long walk, for the children it was not boring at all. I remember when I was a child, my grandmother had hidden Easter candies for me in the garden. Unfortunately, the dog (a german sheppard) found all candies first and ate them. I only had the slavered paper in my easter basket. :-(

Candies  (  sweets)    is an Americanism      collective term  candy .

I realised  yesterday.    I have  realised  .  I realise ( present  tense )

Through  is  via  (  I go through the town to get to the beach..    the  verb    to throw   past tense  threw    (  have thrown) .

Fantastic.......

In the morning, on Easter Sunday, the children look for the candies the Easter Bunny has hidden.;-) The families take a long walk after lunch on Easter Sunday. So did we (I suppose you no longer do it!). When our children were small we used to put into a plastic bag all the candies which they had found in the morning in our flat in a plastik bag  and go* out for a walk. In the park, now and then, we would throw** now and then candies along the way/road, the kids didn't notice it***. Then we would say: "Look the Easter Bunny was here too!" The children were so happy to find more and more candies! We could take a long walk, without the children getting bored at all. I remember when I was a child, my grandmother had hidden Easter candies for me in the garden. Unfortunately, the dog (a German shepherd) found all the candies first and ate them. *  "used to put... and go... " indicates a regular custom : He used to smoke when he was young
**  throw/threw/thrown   Here "would throw" indicates what you used to do, just as "we would say" a little further.
***  I'd prefer : "without the kids noticing it"

Sehr gut! Fröhliche Ostern!

In Germany Easter is celebrated. Many people go to the church, others use the free days (thats good, but you could use "the VAcation" or "the holiday')

to take (You MAKE a THING in English, and (most often) DO Actions and activities)

a little trip. In the morning on Easter sunday the children look for the candies the Easter bunny has hidden.;-) The families take a long walk after lunch on Easter sunday. So do we. (Or 'did we' if you dont do it any more)

When our children were small we put all the candies which they had (It hapened THEN... 'have' is NOW) found in the ('In the' is ok but 'found that' would also work) morning in our flat into a plastic bag and went out for a walk. In the park we through (Through = Duoch, 'I went THROUGH the door) threw now and then candies along the way/road, the kids didn't realise it. Then we said: "Look the easter bunny was here too!" The children were so happy to find  more and more candies. We could take a long walk, for the children it was not boring at all. I remember when I was a child, my grandmother had hidden Easter candies for me in the garden. Unfortunately, the dog (a german sheppard) found all candies first and ate them. I only had the slavered (That would be paper that was DROOLED ON with saliva! LOL ) Silvered paper in my easter basket. :-(

VERY VERY Good!
