I like animals, but I haven`t pets. For a animal welfare the pets require a suitable room, care, time and respect.
I don´t have enough time for a pet and when I'm away I must engage an outside person.
I like to be independent and with a pet I feel very fastened.

I don´t have enough time for a pet and when I'm away I'd have to engage an outside person. I like to be independent and with a pet I would feel very much tied**.

*  "I haven't got" (the British way) = "I don't have" (the American way)

**  " to tie" can often be used as a synonym for "to fasten". But when used metaphorically as here, you should use "to tie" : She feels tied to her mother's old house / The job keeps him very much tied to his desk

*** In front of a past participle use "much" or "very much" : "His opinion is (very) much influenced by his parents"
