The first date

Ah, first dates. That was a long time ago, because I have been married for 25 years. But I try to remember.... Sometimes preparing for a first date could be nerv-wracking. Often the question was: "What to wear?" and I couldn't decide for an outfit. To avoid any last minute panics I laid out several outfits before the day of the date and I tried on a few different looks. Of course, I took a long shower or bath and applied make-up. Shortly before leaving for my date, I flossed and brushed my teeth thoroughly. When I was nervous I called a good friend or listened to upbeat music.

Wow, really good!  It was a long time ago for me too.  Since I was sort of in the beatnik era, I perhaps took a shower, but I brushed and flossed my teeth for sure.
