The financial crisis is affecting the whole world. Everyday the international media talk about bond-spreads, bailouts, default risks....etcetera. During these years we have learnt typical expressions of the financial world, usually, used only by the experts.
Unfortunately Italy is one of the countries that is seriously involved in this crisis. Our major problem is the public debt. We have the third biggest public debt of the world. The financial analysts say that the markets' confidence is weak beacause Italy (together with Spain) is on the brink of accepting a bailout.
Some months ago our previous Prime Minister resigned (it was a relief) and was replaced by a government of experts, which is now trying to cope with this difficult situation.
Luckily, up till now, the financial crisis has not affected me because I haven't lost my job, I haven't mortgages to recover, generally, my daily life is not changed.
In my opinion Italy's default is a magnified scenario. In this complicated moment we need to cooperate each other, to put together our strenghts without any kind of egoism, to accept that it's high time to make sacrifices. By this way, I'm sure Italy will be able to overcome this crisis.
