The first photo shows a comb. The second photo shows a toilet Notes: *toilet roll: the cardboard inner piece and the paper. *toilet paper: Just the paper. *Many English speakers start sentences with 'and' and 'but', although it's against the rules of grammar :) :)

Helmtraud, Since you and I discussed the differences in types of English, I want to point out one such difference. Someone commented that it should be toilet roll. The explanation is absolutely correct, but where I live the entire object, cardboard roll and paper, is called toilet paper. Just one of those regional language things:-) As always, I'm impressed with your excellent work. I wish I could be as fluent in German! Paula |
