I use internet to learn English: watching videos, listening to music and talking with natives speakers of English language . Nowadays, thanks to internet, it is really easier to learn a foreign language than few years ago.
Moreover, I use internet to choose movies I want to watch in cinema, to try new restaurants next to my job.
What’s more, I also use internet to find interesting or free tips for outing in Paris.
Unfortunately, I must say that I am very good at losing my way. That’s why, before going to a new place, I always go to internet to look at the way (and I print it!!!!), even if I have a GPS and a Mapbook in my bag.
I want to add that French citizens never download free movies on internet, thanks to the very efficient French law Hadopi, protecting all rights of the authors. Hadopi is coming soon in your country be ready! ;)

Excellent Didi overall this was very well written and I particularly liked your use of link words at the begining of sentences. We always use the direct article when referring to the internet, the web etc. Good job keep it up.

I use the Internet to learn English, to watch movies, to listen to music and to talk with native English speakers. Nowadays, thanks to the Internet, it is much easier to learn a foreign language than it was a few years ago. I also like checking out movies that I intend to see later at a cinema and to find new restaurants that are close to where I work. The Internet provides good information on interesting places to visit in Paris which I print out. I usually manage to get lost in unfamiliar territory so as well as carrying a book of maps and a G.P.S. I also have the printout in my bag.

From 2009, French citizens have been unable to download free movies from the Internet thanks to the very effective French law known as H.A.D.O.P.I.  ( Haute Autorité pour la diffusion des oeuvres et la protection des droits sur internet.) This law protects the rights of all creative works on the Internet.

H.A.D.O.P.I. or its equivalent, is coming to your country. Get ready for it !

Hi Didi, it's nice to hear from you and, as always- Well done !

Little lesson on the use of acronyms - The FIRST time you use one, you need to write out in full, what the acronym stands for and after that, use it as freely as you want to.  :-)

In N.Z. we already have the equivalent law - bummer ! I can't download music to my MP3 anymore !

Hi Mary!!! Thank you for your useful comment and advice!! :))

Is "Bummer" name of this law in your country?

I laught when I read the word "bummer", because I only know one meaning for the word "a Bum" = someone who has no house. So I thought: you can't download anymore, you are like a bum looking for sthg he has lost.

Hi Didi -   re " bummer !"   means that something has happened which is not good  e.g.

I had a bummer of a day  -  " J'ai eu une journée vraiment pourrie! "   :-(

You have to work on a holiday ?   Bummer !!

( It's not considered to be impolite but when you are next having a hobnob  ( = frayer avec ) with M. Hollande, it would probably be best not to say it to him. )
