I think that there are a lot of interisting advantages of studying abroad, students could learn many things different from their own country besides, they would be more prepared to face the world because if someone goes abroad has to learn a new language inudents order to communicate with other people.
Also, students might learn about other cultures, food, places and the most important thing to me is to know people from around the world.
Although life abroad is quite expensive in some countries, this is an experience most students would like to undergo no matter what.

It would be better to say 'I think that there are many ......'  as the phrase 'a lot of' is colloquial (slang).

Try to stay within the same tense when using the plural form, and don't forget to use 's' when forming the plural.  Also in words ending with 'y' this changes to 'ies' in the plural.  (e.g country becomes countries).

Otherwise a good piece of writing.  Well done!

Thank you for helping me! I just have a little question on my first sentence where it says:...advantages TO studying abroad.

When I was in school they told me that after a preposition I must write the verb in "ing" . Actually this is the first time that I see this, do you mind clering that up for me?

When to use 'ing'.  There are basically three different forms of usage.  The gerund (ing) a form of a verb functioning as a noun. Originated from Latin ( ending in -ndum (declinable) and in English (ending in ing). Used distinctly as a part of a verb (e.g. "Do you mind me asking you?).

Dictionary definition:-

It is a suffix forming the gerund and nouns from verbs (and occasionally from nouns) denoting:-

1. the verbal action or its result (e.g. asking, carving, fighting, learning) verbs 'to ask' 'to carve' 'to fight'.

2. the verbal action as described or classified in some way (e.g. tough going) verb 'to go'.

3. material used for or associated with a process (piping, washing).  Verb 'to pipe' for example 'piping' the icing on a cake.  Verb 'to wash' for example 'to do the washing' means to wash our clothes when dirty.

4. an occupation or event. (banking, wedding)  If you work in a bank then you are working in 'banking'. If you are getting married then the occasion is the 'wedding'.

5. a set or an arrangement of (colouring, feathering).

It also forms the present participle of verbs. (asking, fighting) often forming adjectives from nouns (hulking) as a noun  'hulk' is a large clumsy person, and 'hulking' ( slang)  means bulky, large and clumsy. (Example ' he was a hulking great lump of a person'). The verb  "to become bald' or 'to go bald'  (balding). (Example 'He was balding' meaning he was losing his hair).

It is also a suffix forming nouns of possession (one belonging to) or (one having the quality of - surviving especially in names of coins and fractional parts (a farthing, (thats an old coin no longer in use) ('to geld' is the verb so 'gelding'  is the action of emasculating a young horse).

The above descriptions are from Oxford English Dictionary, 1990 edition, page 608.

I hope that helps, as you can see there are many uses for 'ing'. Some involve prepositions and some don't.

Yes, it helped me a lot, thank for that.

I had already learnt some of those usages but not all of them.

I was unable to surf the net because we have been having rainfalls everyday and although I don´t know for sure I think the rain caused a damage to our internet system near where I live.

But, my family and I are ready to watch the 2012 Olympics games that will be held in your country. I know some historical events that took place long long time ago but, thanks to the games I will learn even more about England beacuse mexican channels will be full of valuable information. Everybody´s eyes are now on England.

See you later!

Hope your internet connection is okay now.  Like you I am looking forward to the Opening Ceremony and then the Games themselves.  As an ex-athlete (in my youth) I avidly watch athletic events, sometimes wishing I could be there!  I won't be on here very much until after the Olympics, partly because of the Games and partly because it is the summer holidays from school and I have my grand-daughter for six weeks.

¡Hasta luego!

That´s quite interesting, you are really full of surprises and also good news. I don´t know if in your state will be competitions but, if I were young as probably your grand-daughter, I´d like to be taken to see the Games haha.

We are just about  2 days for the Opening Ceremony (I am not sure if my favourite band will sing during the opening or ending ceremony) anyway, they are called "Blur". They are from Colchester and I think they split up long long time ago but they will give a gig again like in the old years.

I think that´s it for today but before I  go I will do another writing exercise.

By now I think  you are getting ready to start Wednesday so have a great day!

You're correct, it is already Wednesday.  My grand-daughter and I are having a quiet(ish) day at home, we've a pool and she is swimming and I'm watching (carefully) as she is only seven.

This evening is the first event of the Olympics at Cardiif Millenium Stadium, it's the women's football team, not something I'm really interested in but I'll probably watch it on the television after Freya is in bed.

Before I retired I lived near to Cardiff in a small village and used to watch Rugby with work colleaques from the local Police force.  My working career was quite varied, I started as a Junior in an estate agency, then about four years in the Dorset Constabulary, I then changed and worked for many years for a publishing company, and in my forties I moved to South Wales and rejoined the Police there.  Where I worked in various departments, sometimes on administration, sometimes in Forensics and Fingerprinting, sometimes I was seconded to work in the Drug  Squad.  My time in the police was interesting and varied and I enjoyed it.  There was never a dull moment!  Something was always happening.

A few miles from where I live now is Weymouth where the Olympic sailing and yachting events will take place.  It is only a small town and the Olympics will cause chaos on the roads and trains so I probably won't visit until after the Olympics finish.  There is a really nice beach there where I take Freya, as a change from the ones very close to us.

Must go now as I think Freya has been out in the sun long enough (today is one of those rare ones in England) it is nearly 30 degrees and that doesn't happen often.

Bye for now and I hope you enjoy 'Blur' I 've heard of them but can't say really it's my kind of music.

Amazing! You must have a great curriculum I mean, I couldn´t have imagined that you as a retired English teacher were a police officer too. How did that happend? one day did you just decide to be a police officer and the next day you had a job? I wasn´t wrong when I told you you were full of surprices, your grand-daughter must be proud of you.

I am watching the T.V. right now and they are talking about Cardiif, the same place you named here, what a coinsidence!

The Opening Ceremony was great, I watched it on my T.V., I hope Mexico can win some medals.

I hope your grand-daughter and you have excellent Saturday.

That man Rowan Atkinson is quite famous is Mexico and I think in England too. I met him as Mr. Bean and then in the movies "Jhonny English" and "Jhonny English Reborn". This man is a genious, he also acted in a serie called "Not the nine o´clock news", "BlackAdder" and "The Blue Thin Line", have you watched them by any chance before?
