Have you ever been skiing? Do you like it? Why /why not?
I skied once when I was a child, but after that first experience I had to stop skiing.
The use of the adverb "once" may be optional.
grazie mille :)
I skied when I was a child but after that first experience I have stopped to go skiing
good Giorgio :)
I skied once when I was a child, but after the first experience (or you could say "after that"), I have (since) stopped to going skiing.
Brilliant job! 4 stars from me :)
I skied when I was a child, but after the first experience I *stopped going skiing
Notes: Very well constructed exercise :) :)
* There is always a comma before 'but', 'and', 'so', 'yet', 'or'
*' I stopped'. The imperfect ending is used for a 'completed action', i.e., you no longer ski :)
wow you are a wonderful teacher
