In the kitchen

Describe the kitchen utensils that you can see in the photograph.

1.- In the first photo I can see a blender. it is for making purées and with this, I make hot cakes.
2.- In the second phoo I can see a tin opener. It is for opening some tins.
3.- In the third image I can see a fridge. It is for freezing food and it's the electrical appliance that use more electrical energy.

Excellent Cybergoffer! If I may add some notes, the first picture is actually a hand-mixer - whereas a blender is the appliance which has a container - usually glass - and it sits on top of the counter. Sometimes I think busuu does these little errant pictures with mis-marked names, to give us something to talk about. lol :) fridge-refridgerator, ice-box < as refered to by persons 80 years old or older. :)

mmm... I hope Busuu doesn't do that you said me! sincerly I trust a lot in Busuu and I wouldn't like that Busuu make little errant pictures with mis-marked names. Many people when correct to others, don't say these notes like you! :) so...thank you so much for your correction! :)

So far the only other 'errant picture' I have seen is the lesson on relationships.

Busuu gives a picture of a man and woman with their hands showing wedding rings on each.

The lesson teaches - " They are engaged", but you and I and everyone else in the world knows that when the "woman by herself" has an "engagement ring", and the man is NOT wearing a ring - that means they are engaged. Both wearing rings means married. lol :) What can you do? If you say they are married, then according to the lesson we would be wrong.... but truthfully they are married. :))

I agree, and 99.98% of the time busuu is correct, but wait!!! I just remembered about the gynacologist! lol!

There are two spellings for it - gynaecologist < British - or - gynecologist < American

However, the lesson teaches that a pregnant woman goes to a gynaecologist...this is actually incorrect. A gynaecologist treats women who have diseases and disorders. Pregnancy is not a disease or disorder, and there is a medical professional who specializes in pregnancy - an obstretrician sees women during pregnancy.

Okay, I think that's it! jajajaja! :)

o.k, I don't see that lesson yet! and I read all what you wrote me, and you have the reason, that image must to say "the are married" o.k it's a little mistake and I don't think to use it in English! I think "they are engaged" is when the man gives the wedding ring to the woman! :P yeah! you have reason, then I'll check this lesson!

I like more in British, I don't like American!

I also haven't see this lesson yet, but I have to be sincer with you, these words I didn't know their meaning in Spanish, I was checking in the dictionary and the image is incorrect as you tell me! but if the pregnant woman is ill? mmm... I don't know a lot about the theme!
