Watching TV

To be honest television is not my kind of thing nowadays. I would rather go out with my friends, learn English or chat with native speakers than watch the TV. However throughout my life I have been hooked on some TV programmes. Some years ago my close friend recommended me to start watching a story about a crazy genius doctor who took drugs. Of course you have guessed that this is House MD soap opera. Despite the last seasons of this serial were not being good enough, I still think it's one of the best soap operas people have ever watched. The next TV serial which I was into is The Big Bang Theory. I have been watching this story since I saw (OMG) Dr. Sheldon Cooper. I am so proud of this actor.

...soap opera....in the US, at least, a soap opera is considered to be a day-time show which has a lot of emotional problems, sex (real or imagined) and has a storyline that continues day after day during the week.  Many of these shows are on five days a week and the amount of story told each day is very short.  Most of the dialogue is very detailed and does not add a great deal to the story so that the same story continues for a long time -- days or weeks.  Shows that occur once a week, at night, are usually referred to as dramas, comedies, spoofs or other term, depending on the content of the show.

....a title of a show, or book, or article in a magazine, or a dramatic play, etc, always has each key word in the title capitalized and the entire title is either written in Italics as I have done or it is enclosed in quotation marks, e.g., "The Big Bang Theory"....
