I think Victor you are using too many ways to say friend.  buddy, pal, chum,-- the word friend is fine. It sounds strange when you continue to use different words for the same thing. All the words that you used instead of friend, as you know, are very informal. I am glad that you have a friend like that.   By the way, your picture looks great you are getting younger all the time.
