My worst holidays ever

My worst holiday I had ever spent, was in Spain. It was on a Sunday evening, when I lost my key (on) during a walk on the beach. I couldn´t find it anywhere. I went to the office of the holiday (plant) agency, but there was nobody. A woman came across the street and told me, that she once had had the same problem and until Monday morning there was no one to reach. It was a warm night and I slept near my bungalow on a sun lounger.

When you speak about something that took place in the past before another past action, you have to use the Past Perfect Tense. For example: Yesterday I met a friend of mine who I had known for years., or When my husband came home from work, I had cooked dinner (the dinner was ready).
