Of course there are many mothers who don't go working out of the house, and a lot of young mothers breastfeed their child. Hundred years ago most women stayed home and the most practised way of feeding a newborn baby was with mother milk.
The main differences lay in the modern way of life :
- Nowadays there are many machines for helping parents, for example a washmachine for the clothes .
- A lot of people use nappies instead of cotton tissues.
- Babies should have their vaccinations in the first years of their life.
- In Europa we can often see young fathers giving their little daughter or son the bottle , changing the nappy and walking with their child in the pushchair, to bring it at the daycare , while the mothers are working in an office - for example.
100 years ago men didn't busy with their young children, this work was "women work ".
