What do I like about Christmas?
The best thing I like about Christmas is Jesus !
It is hard to imagine now that celebration of Christmas was forbidden in one of the big empires of the world. A lot of priests and believers were in prisons for their faith, the Bible was a person "non grata" and "God does not exist" - was announced to all the inhabitants of the huge country. "Where was it ?" - you will ask me. In the atheistic Russia, the former USSR. Did we know anything about Jesus in those days ? Indeed, we knew something about Him.
But today I do not only know a b o u t Him, but I k n o w Him. I know Jesus, who was born to die that my sin would not torment me. I was forgiven. I know Jesus, who He heals my body and gives comfort to my soul. Today I am as a Samaritan woman at the well, whom Jesus gives His "living water" protecting from the bitterness and loneliness in my life and I will not be thirsty forever. He gives peace to my soul. I love my life very much and I know that thanks to Jesus I have an opportunity to return to so sweet to my heart, but lost Paradise. He will never leave me, He will never betray me. He is my loyal and faithful God.
Jesus is the best Christmas present for me!
