I hate to iron the clothes and to wash the dishes. Last year I bought the dishwasher and I don't have wash the dishes.

I hate to iron the clothes and to wash the dishes. Last year I bought the a dishwasher and so now I don't have to wash the dishes.

It is not technically wrong to use "the", but it is more commonly not used so often. Otherwise, very well done!
