Ohhhhh , New Year Eve is a especial holiday in Ukraine, actually ( strictly speaking or properly? ) like Cristmas too . Usually we decorate the fir-tree 2 or 3 days early the New Year Eve . At this day I just finish the last preparing : the cooking and the gifts ( presents ) decorations (effecting or figuration ? ) . We try to visit our relatives with the New Year Greetings ( congratulations ) befor 10 ( 22) p.m . We like to invite our friends or go to them . We like to make merry (rollick ) with a big crowd ( company ?) . But the Cristmas Eve we try to spend in the family Corner ( family circle ? ) . This New Year Eve I made a wish and hope that it come true soon ;-) .

correction:

New Year is a special holiday in Ukraine so as Christmas. We usually decorate the Christmas tree 2 or 3 days before the New Year. I just finished preparations then: cooking and wrapping presents. We try to visit our relatives for New Year greetings before 10p.m on New Year's Eve. We like inviting it friends or go to theirs. We celebrate it with a big crowd, but we spend Christmas with the family. I made a New Year's wish this year and hope it comes true soon.

Good.

Some questions:

1. What makes these special?
2. Why do you think these are celebrated any differently in Ukraine (to make them special)?
3. What was your wish? epxanding your family? :)

I am not angry with you  or anybody else. Life is too short to be angry or unhappy.
