1. The mood of this lady has changed and she has become "resigned" to the present situation, so  my opimion is, that she was / or,  she has been expecting to receive something, but it has not arrived, so now she is exasperated.

2. Now there is more work than she can cope with, so she is snowed under,  so she is not sure if she can keep up with all this work to do.

3. He is extremely frustrated, because for him a problem has just arrived on his Laptop.
