I go in a bar with my friends always after sports. I order usually a beer. Its recommandable to drink not too much becausе you become drunk this way. The punishment you get next day when you have a hangover. If we have an important celebration somethimes i drink a glass of champagne or wine. Certanly i drink also non alcoholic drinks but infrequent. :-))

Punishment usually refers to something inflicted on you by someone in authority and/or the legal consequences, so it is better to avoid it and use "likely to suffer".
