Where do you live? Describe your city.

I live in a little city in Bavaria (Germany), near the border to Austria.
Salzburg is a city in Austria and 55 km away.
The population in our city amounts 15.000 peoples.
We have some restaurants, groceries, and other shops.
Around the city where I live, there are many trees, fields, and many ways to cycle.
But we also have big factories in the near, and our jobless rate are very low.

The population in our city ~~amounts~~ is 15.000 peoples. ["People" is already plural.]

We have some restaurants, grocery stores, and other shops. ["Groceries" usually refers to what one buys at a grocery store.]

Around the city where I live, there are many trees, fields, and many ~~ways to~~ cycling paths.

But we also have big factories in the ~~near~~ vicinity/area, and our jobless rate ~~are~~ is very low.

We have some restaurants, grocery stores and other shops.
Around the city where I live there are many trees, fields, and a lot of cycling paths.
But we also have big factories nearby so that the unemployment rate is very low.
