When I go to the supermarket, I usually buy: seasonal fruit, orange, vegetables (like peppers), eggs (to make cakes for breakfast) and ham.

The word "orange" is usually only by itself when you're talking about the color. If you only want to buy one orange (fruit), then it should be "an orange". If you are planning on buying several, then it should be "oranges".
