I bought a dog for me, he has long hair and need a hairdresser (barber),
then I learn the hair cut and i had a salon for dogs opened.
The idea was very nice and the best, at home the work.

I bought a dog for myself.  He had long hair and needed a hairdresser (barber).  Then I learned how to cut the hair and I opened had a salon for dogs. The idea was very nice and the best part was that I could work at home.

I bought a dog. He had long hair and needed a dog groomer.  I learned how to groom dogs and opened a  dog grooming salon. It was a good idea and the best part was that I could work at home.
