Valentine´s Day

In Italy do not use the Valenine's cards, this is a custom of Anglo Saxon countries, I think. But, if I have to write a Valentine's card, maybe I could mention some love poems: ..... nox est perpetua una dormienda. Da mi basìa mille, deinde centum, dein mille altera, dein secunda centum deinde usque altera mille, deinde centum. This is a love poem in Latin, written by Catullus, a poet who lived centuries ago. The translation is: .... there is only one night of sleep. Give me a thousand kisses, then one hundred, then another thousand, one hundred and then once again, and a thousand other without end, and then a hundred. In my opinion also this love poem of Lawrence Ferlinghetti is suitable for this romantic day: Come lie with me and be my love.... .... And have enough of kissing me And have enough of making love And let our two selves speak All night under the cypress tree Without making love ... Very romantic words. But, if I have to write something with my own words, maybe I could say: You know that there is no need of many words between us... I do not care how you are ... I never can stop thinking of you ...

NOTE:  Just to let you know, some people object when beginning a sentence with a conjunction, such as the word "but"; however, I have no "buts" about it , to me is matter of style when writing informally.

Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem was very promising until …..the last line.  I don’t think I will be using this poem anytime soon, unless… I modify that last line.    :-)    ;-)    :-)

Very good!  Not many mistakes at all!  Some of the word order could be rearranged to make it flow better..but this is very good.
