I think there is a guest in the first picture. Perhaps grandson was wisiting his grandmother.
In the second picture I see two close friends. They are sharing their secrets with each other. .
The third picture shows us a man and a woman who are in love . They got engaged and gave the rings to each other.

Thank you!

a grandson?

so I should write -I have a sister and a brother ...or-A sister is shorter than a brother?

gave rings (without THE)...

I try to define a rule about it.

I still cannot recognize...when we speak of this picture we say- in THE picture.

But after that we speak of all subjects what we see on the picture, so they are concrete too.

I wrote - the rings, because these people exchanged with the rings what we are seeing  and speaking about.

Or there is a rule that we put THE only for the picture , but not for subjects on it?

so I should write -I have a sister and a brother  Yes or I have a brother and sister

A sister is shorter than a brother A girl is shorter than her brother

But after that we speak of all subjects what we see on the picture, so they are concrete too. That's about right, I think

As a rule, you don't use the for plural nouns when they are the object of the verb unless you need to be specific

-What are you doing?

-I'm driving a bus

- What is he doing to that bus?

- He is driving the bus

- Do you have a hobby?

- Yes, I like driving busses

OK in English a basic sentence is

subject - verb - object

The subject and objects are nouns, The subject does something to the object

I shoot pheasants

She reads a book

Milkmaids collect milk

so

subjects are I, she, milkmaids. They are doing things

objects are pheasants, book and milk. Things are being done to them

In Russian

Я читаю книгу

книгу is the object of the verb. You distinguish it with a different ending (when the noun is feminine) while we don't.

That's why English is so much easier :-)

We call that noun (subject) - подлежащее :))

Now I understood, thank you.

Oh yes, these Russian endings!! ))) I wonder who can remember them, not me)) so I prefer learning English, not Russian))

one more question...

sometimes I see that an article goes only with the first noun in sentence ...

I like to play the viola, violin, double bass. But sometimes it goes with the  or with a before every noan in a line.

Or I saw such variant- I like to play the viola, violin, trumpet and the double bass.

Hi!

When you have a long list you don't want to be repeating articles all the way through, it deadens it.

The article at the start of the list follows the first item in the list. Add articles when there are changes

There is a book, wardrobe, two bedside tables, a lamp, bed, rug, three mirrors and a computer in my room

The and a often sounds better. To justify it, I suppose you could say it is not part of the original list
