Hi again!

I've provided you with some more alternatives!  There are so many ways of saying this sentence (in both our languages).

Here are some explanations:

1. ANY is used

-with uncountable or plural nouns in negative sentences and questions,

[Haven't you got any milk left in the fridge?  I don't have any time to play tennis today.]

-after if or whether,

[I asked her if she had any time to play tennis.  I'm not sure whether there will be any rain today.

-after some verbs such as prevent, ban, forbid, etc.

[The teacher forbids any talking in class.]

*ANY refers to an amount or a number of something, however large or small.

2. ANY is used with singular countable nouns to refer to one of a number of things or people, when it does not matter which one.

[You may read any of these books.  You can choose any colour jacket you like.  ]

3. In a postive sentence, "any" is replaced with "some".

-Do you have some milk in the fridge?  Do you have some time to play tennis today?  The teacher allows some talking in class.
