What would you do or what things would you buy if you won the lottery?
haha :D good idea to say how much you won)))
I'm not sure, but - If I win the lottery.........
If I won the lottery I would like to... Oh, I don't know. The question's authors didn't precised how much money I have.
**This was great, I just want to sum up the use of won vs. win, so the comment above does not confuse you.
WON versus WIN
(The verb To Win)
Won is past tense, an action that already happened, or could of happened.
I won the race. -The action is finished.
If I won the lottery... - The action did not happen, but it could of happened.
Win is future tense, an action that is going to happen, or could happen but in the future.
I will win the race. -The action will happen.
If I win the lottery.... -The action could be done in the future.
The word IF, is used when there is some amount of doubt, also can be used when explaining
If I won the lottery I would of bought a car. - If is used here for explanation, to show what would be done.
If I win the lottery I will buy a car. -If is used here for both explanation and doubt. You do not know if you will win the lotter or not, and you explain what you wuld do.
WILL versus WOULD
Would is used with the past tense form.
If I won the lottery I would ....
Will is used with the future tense form.
If I win the lottery I will ....
I hope this helped you. Have a great day.
If I won the lottery I would like to... Oh, I don't know. The question didn't precisely tell me how much money I would have.
Well done Artem
