Yes, I have been to Shanghai and Hong Kong in China, and I live in Japan.
Shanghai Expo was held several years ago and I went there to see that. But I was in trouble because both of Japanese and English are spoken in Shanghai. This is the reason that l chose Hong Kong on the next trip to China.

But I was in trouble, because none of Japanese and English is spoken in Shanghai. This is the reason that l chose Hong Kong on the (my) next trip to China.

Very good! :-)

Hi there,

Excelent answer to the question. Your punctuation and spelling are perfect. Could I offer the following correction..

But I was in trouble because both of Japanese and English are not spoken in Shanghai.

Your last sentence is fine, but you may concider replacing "Hong Kong on my next trip".  English speakers are more self oriented and the sentence sounds more natural.

Well done!

Yes, I have been to Shanghai, Hong Kong in China, and I live in Japan.  ( don´t put two "and" in a sentence just put one time in the last thing you say in that frase , because two "and" sounds a bit repetitious...

Shanghai Expo was held several years ago, and I went there to see that.

But I was in trouble because both of Japanese and English aren´t (or " are not)  spoken in Shanghai.

This is the reason that l chose Hong Kong on the next trip to China.

Good Work! ^^

In general using the word "and" multiple times in a sentence creates a run-on, but in this phrase it is neccicary to put and between the two cities because you are listing items.

Since your English is already so good and it's already corrected too, I decided to offer you a slight variation:

Yes, I have been to Shanghai and Hong Kong in China, and I live in Japan. The Expo was held in Shanghai several years ago and I went there to see it. But I was in trouble because both Japanese and English aren't spoken in Shanghai. That's the reason why l chose Hong Kong on my next trip to China.
