Artistic styles

What artistic style do you like most?

Greek art, Renaissance art and Expressionnist art. I love I really Romanesque art. I love their architecture and their pictures. Four years ago I lived in north-west France, near Rennes, where the architecture is dominated by Gothic art. Of course the churches and cathedrales are very beautiful, but now I live near the Alps and Romanesque art is dominated : churches, castles, towers... I admire Romanesque paintings because of the simple forms and the lightly colors. It seems like the Russian art of Icone. I like to find an old painting in a sober church and try recognizing the caracters, because everyone has a personal symbol.
