The most famous capture of german history is for sure the second world war under Aldof Hitler. But Germany is more than that! In period in European history which began after the collapse of the West Roman Empire in the 4th and 5th centuries and continued until the Renaissance in 15th century ther was the famous battle in Waterloo.Germany today is very multicultural and thats good like it is!

you are right Katrin, multicultural is better, also United Europe by choice and peace is better than by force and war, elsewhere if A.H. won the war there would be only 2 languages allowed here : German and Japanese (maybe Italian), also there would be less artists, musicians, poets, scientifics, genious, architects, medical doctors, ... only those agreed by military regime. But many people have lost their souls in this event.
Now there is another problem : not to let planet being destroyed by chemical industry, elsewhere there will be only few animals remaining here : human and those more resistants, probably insects and bacteria
Deutschland never wanted only two languages in the world. Germany had many friends throughout Europe. Look to Spain and South America, even our friends in Mexico. No, you need to learn more about what the German people were actually fighting for. Yes, too much force was used, but too much force was used by all parties not just Hilter. Hilter responded to the times and did what he could to promote German interests just like American promotes American interests and just like Stalin very successfully promoted Soviet interests. Germany during WWII was interested in promoting the arts as well. It was the USA that destroyed the German film industry after WWII. I have started my own German history group as well and I wish to promote a more balanced view of German history for everyone. Hilter was not a Devil, but only a man. Churchhill and FDR were not great Gods, but again only men, who yes, made many mistakes as well. Stalin was Hilter's equal as far as being evil.
Sorry, but I have to correct you.The Middle Ages are from the 6th to the 15th century. The battle of Waterloo was in 1815 and by the way on belgian terretory. Waterloo was the beginning of the end of the napoleonical era.
There is also a very nice chapter in the recent past of Germany, the german reunification. I think it was a very beautiful moment, especially for the people which were living in Berlin at that moment.

Let us all learn the facts and the truth.

I´m not sure, if the 2nd world war was Germany´s most famous chapter. I think it was the rather most infamous experience.

Das stimmt!!
I totally agree with your opinion about the 2nd world war!!!!
