I was expected more new ideas such as a solar charger for mobile phones or the mooncup which is an ecological alternative to tampons or sanitary towels
There is a great initiative about some sort of 'marine-worm' that captures the energy of the waves. There is one already in the ocean. Sadly, I forgot its name. It's red and huge.
Pelamis!! exactly. They are trying to do 'marine-fields' of these things. I am sure whether they're already on the ocean since you tell me that it is working since 2008.
Using "Geothermal Energy" is another way and we use it here in our country. We also can use wind energy. We must avoid using fossil fuels or atleast limit it and use less harmful ones.
One way of living more sustainably is living with groups of people rather than living alone. Unfortunately in the U.S., if one continues to live with one's family as an adult, or chooses to share an apartment with other adults - one is looked at as a financial failure - Why can't she or he afford a place of their own? This isn't as true in cities, because the cost of living is so high, but in the country or suburbs - one is culturally expected to live on one's own or with a spouse or one's nuclear family.
I read your opinion and I understand your point of view, it is the system how we live and it create us necessities that aren`t always the right for ourselves neither for families. Young people with a weak personality that saparate from their parents and secure envoironment, they can commit failures that won`t have been done if they stay with their families until be right to affort an independent life.

There's another topic that already has all these ideas on it.

The trouble with wind turbines is that they kill bats (due to areas of low pressure). They need to be out at sea.
