The symbol of fauna in Azerbaijan is the Karabakh horse, (Quarabağ At) which is a mountain-steppe racing and riding hose which can only be found in Azerbaijan. The Karabakh horse has a reputation for its good temper, speed, intelligence and elegance.

Some 107 species of mammals have been recorded in Azerbaijan, three of which are unique species. Popular species include the Caucusus goats, and west caucusus moufflons. Jeyran gazelles are the rarest and fastest  species of goat in the Caucusus.

The country's fresh water basin and Caspian sea account for 97 species of fish including sturgeon and salmon. Sturgeon meat and caviar are an extremely valuable product.

Azerbaijan is rich in avifauna, in which  363 species of bird from 60 families have been recorded. One of the most prominent and popular species is that of the Golden Eagle, having been printed on many stamps and cards in Azerbaijan. The Golden Eagle can also be  found in Scotland, in the UK.

I have sourced this material from Wikipaedia. However, this material does not refer to wolves as being part of the fauna of Azerbaijan, although I have a friend who lives in  Azerbaijan who tells me that there are wolves.
