EXPERIMENTAR DEUS - A Transparência de Todas as Coisas

 Há que considerar a imagem de Deus vinculada ideologicamente pelo sistema. Justifica a situação. O sistema capitalista apresenta a Deus como aquele Ser Supremo que naturalmente estabelece as classes, onde haverá sempre ricos e pobres. Prega um Deus que manda observar as leis da natureza, entendendo-se a fome pela vantagem pessoal, a concorrência e a livre empresa como decorrentes da lei natural. Anuncia um Deus que manda obedecer à ordem estabelecida, não se perguntando se essa ordem não poderá ser, como efetivamente está sendo, ordem na desordem e fruto do egoísmo de grupos de interesse. Trágica para a fé se torna a situação quando nos damos conta de que os próprios conceitos fundamentais do cristianismo foram assimilados como suporte justificador do sistema de opressão, como humildade, obediência, honestidade, paciência, carregar a cruz de Cristo, pobreza, renúncia, amor incondicional, etc. Freud dizia que os cristãos estavam mal batizados.

         "Estão mal batizados", comenta Marcuse, "enquanto aceitam e obedecem ao evangelho libertador somente numa forma altamente sublimada - que deixa a realidade sem liberdade como estava antes.
