What is the best age to be?

I feel some sad when I remember those times.. The youth, the university.. Where I saw the life in a rose color...The time when I had my children, locking them to grow-up...Then is the life...the children are borrowed, and they flew with their own lives. Now I have six grandchildren, they are my happiness, but they are living too far away from me .The life change so fast.. I know this is the life.. And now I must to find other things, like my English classes; help other older people that need my company, take the time for myself it was not being easy...Every day I give thanks to God for my family, for our health and I know that the life is one to leave plenty !!

That is life: our children are borrowed, and they flew the nest* to live their own lives. Now I have six grandchildren, they are my happiness, but they live too far away from me.

Our life changes so fast, I know this is life and now I must find other things, like my English classes, help other people who need my company and to take time for myself, it has not been easy. Every day I give thanks to God for my family, for our health and I know that life is to live and to leave plenty behind us when we die*. (* Is this what you mean, Otavia?.)

*This is what we say when we look back on happy memories - we look 'through rose coloured specacles..'

* when our children leave home to live their own life, we say they 'flew the nest'

It is true, life goes by so fast, and eaxch stage has its own benefits and struggles!

My best age is now because I have a husband , my own appartment , my work . it's a pitty only that our years don't do us younger ( i mean our face not the soul :) ) i like my age and i think that it 's the best time for me .on the 5th of August I have a bithday ,It will be my 30th bithday , a lot of people think that it is the AGE but i don't feel myself like a woman , I'm a very YOUNG woman ;) be young and energetic!!!!!!

I have just seen this! :)

My best age is now because I have a husband, my own apartment and my work. It's a pity that our years don't make us look younger.(I means our face, not our soul). :) I like my age, and I think that it's the best time for me. On the 5th of August it is my birthday, it will be my 30th birthday. A lot of people think that is the age, but I don't feel like a woman, I'm a very young woman;) I am young and energetic!

Of course you are a young woman, Heyylen! Thirty is a lovely age. You have left the silliness of youth behind, but are still young enough to have a youthful energy whilst being more mature!

Can you imagine being thirty years older????

I must say that every age of life is very important for a person. Because, we have chance to learn the amazing facts and knowledge by using which we can derive a lot of benefits. When I was a student of Intermediate level, my teacher used to tell this quote to us, quite often in our class "TILL WE DIE WE ARE LEARNERS". Indeed, it is true, life is the best teacher and it teaches us many things in different phases of our lives. In the childhood, we learn from our parents what is good and what is bad, in the teenage we learn DOs and DON'Ts, in the youth we learn how to shape our lives for good, in the middle age we learn how to guide the young people and in the old age we learn how to prepare ourselves to reach the abode of god.

I must say that every age of life is important for a person, because we have the chance to learn ~~the~~ amazing facts and knowledge from which we can derive many benefits. When I was a student at intermediate level, my teacher often used to quote this to us: 'Til we die, we are learners.' Indeed it is true, life is the best teacher and it teaches us many things in different phases of our lives.

In childhood we learn from our parents what is good and what is bad; in the teenage years we learn 'do's' and 'don'ts'; in our youth we learn how to shape our lives for the good; in middle age we learn how to guide young people and in our old age we learn how to prepare ourselves to reach the abode of God.

This is very good Ramana. It is very wise and a good pattern of life to follow.

Do you find that as the pace of life quickens and we all move forward, that the young people rebel against what their parents try to teach them ? Sometimes it seems as if morals and behaviour seem to deteriorate as life becomes more 'modern' and progressive.

I think that all ages are best to be because in all ages a human has his own, belonged only to him and chosen only by himself life, but... The but means that these ages are beautiful mostly when a human healthy, cheerful (not moody), wealthy and so on (I can enumerate many values of life but, I think, all of us know it, I don't want to bore you with this enumeration:))).

If consider particularly I think that the most beautiful period of life is the time between 25 up to 45 years. I'll explain why I think so.

When a person is young (it means when he is child, teenager and in his early youth), he has no enough experience in chosing the right way of life, in behaving himself correctly, even if he has relatives who can help him, but who knows that these relatives are right and the person will listen to their advise - noone.

By 25 years old a luckily human has some life experience (he has finished a school, graduated from college or university, some people even managed to have some work experience), the character of a person is already formed till 25(more or less) and he almost can make his own desicion. It continues up to 45 - 50 years old - I mean the success in the life. Beginning from pointed age (50) a person is starting to have problems : mostly health problems, sometimes children's problems with their education or marriage etc. (more or less almost everyone face some problems during the life; in the youth you have helpers (relatives, at least parents, who do everything for yourself), but after some age you have to be responsible for many things).

Again I'd like accent that this is my opinion, it can be not right completelly, but I just give (show) the common situations.

Of course, the life is very difficult and can give smb (anybody:) a surprise but we have to be optimistic and wait for the best from life ... And beleive me - the life will present you good things... At last I'd like to add that the important thing is not to live a life - the most important thing is how to live the life!

A great deal of thought has gone into this - and you are right in so many parts - for instance, about when do the young ever listen to advice from their elders!! :)

It may be considered the prime of life between 25 and 45 years old when we are, hopefully, at our optimum in health, job success and successfully rearing a family, for those who follow the process of growing, maturing and marrying.

It may be that we often wear the rosecoloured spectacles when looking back in life. :)

Personally, I think a little bit of nostalgia does us good once in a while. :)
