I am from Russia, the south Urals. I live in Ufa the capital of little republic Bashkortostan .We have got a lot of snow.It is sometimes freezing cold and sunny, sometimes windy ,snowy.But I like winter and snow.For winter holidays we have been made ice sculptures in squares . This is very interesting Tania! I was watching a tv programmme some time ago about a hotel being built out of ice. Everything, even the chandeliers and the drinking glasses at the bar were all made of ice.
Apparently people pay a lot of money to have a holiday there. It is very clever and unusual - but I am afraid I would rather go somewhere warm for my holidays!
I am a person who needs to be warm - I was born in June, I don't know whether that makes any difference!

I am from Poland.There is winter.Yesterday it was snowing heavy, the wind was blowing very
strong.There were blizzards.The temperature was about 0 degrees C. Today is colder than yesterday(10 C).There is a lot of snow. The roads are covered by snow.There are difficult conditions of driving.

The weather in my country is very, very hot in the summer. We can't go out in the morning or the afternoon, but in the winter we have the cold and it is windy.
When we talk about during the day, we say in the day.
It is also the same when we say in the summer, in the winter etc.

What is the weather like in your country?
In England we have had severe winds and heavy rainfalls with flooding in parts of England.
Our summer had yet to come. Many days are dark grey and heavy rainfall.
We have sometimes had a sunny start to the day only to turn to severe rains before the afternoon.
Russia has suffered dreadful loss of life because of flooding. Our thoughts are with those bereaved and those who have lost everything.
What is your weather like in other parts of the world? Is it out of the ordinary - unusual?
