Mark has an interview for a position in a company that he really likes.

malvit29: Mark, I would like you to tell me what makes you a good candidate for this position.

Mark: I have the necessary competences and the skills that make me the perfect candidate for this position.

malvit29: What did you like most about your previous position?

Mark: My previous position taught me how to solve problems effectively, and how to work independently.

malvit29: Obviously, you have experience in this sector. One last question, what do you expect to obtain from this position?

Mark: I would like to improve my leadership skills in this role.

Great. Try 'What did you like ...etc' you said 'What ......did you like' with this gap it suggests that Mark may not have liked anything ! There is a subtle difference. I hope this helps you. Your English is at a high level and it is good to learn these complexities.

I agree with Alan Agnew, there was a pause after 'What' You are just asking him a question, so no pause.

If you were exclaiming something, then you would leave a gap, as in:

What! You did not like your present?
